One of the principal objectives of the SWMENA survey was to examine the level of popular support for law reforms that have the potential to eliminate discrimination against women and enhance their participation in the various social and political realms.This topic presents the main findings from the SWMENA survey in Lebanon, Morocco, and Yemen on attitudes towards policy change. The survey elicited opinions on possible law reforms that have the potential of improving the status of women in all three counties: these include opinions on civil marriage laws, introducing gender quotas in elected bodies, and reforming citizenship laws.
